Lavinia Lord Mundy Drake

Lavinia Lord was the eldest daughter of Thomas Daunt Lord and Susan Greenslade. She married the artist Henry Mundy in 1834 and later became the wife of Samuel Drake. Her identity across the Lord, Mundy and Drake surnames is supported by the scholarly biography and contemporary notices. She died at Seaford, Little Swanport, on 20 September 1875. Her newspaper notice places her in her 59th year; other age reports differ slightly, so her birth remains approximate. She is accepted as the probable mother of the younger Lavinia Mundy Stuart Lopez.
