Samuel Drake

Samuel Drake lived at Seaford, Little Swanport, and was the later husband of Lavinia Lord Mundy. Contemporary notices report that he formerly served in the 63rd Regiment and arrived with it in 1829. He died at Little Swanport on 1 January 1872, in his 78th year, suggesting a birth around 1794–1795. His obituary identifies Mr Aubin as his brother-in-law and reports a widow and a large family without naming the children. He must remain separate from later Samuel and Samuel Thomas Drake records.
