Irish birth entries for William George Macky in 1879 and George Duncan MacKy in 1880 name James Macky and Mary Mitchell as their parents. These records underpin the family’s identification of the Irish father with the later Ulmarra physician.[1,2]
James died at Grafton, New South Wales, on 30 October 1909.[1,3]
