George Duncan MacKy

George Duncan MacKy was born at Gallagh, County Londonderry, Ireland, on 26 August 1880. His birth entry names his parents as James Macky and Mary Mitchell Macky. The family reconstruction connects that father with Dr. James Dill Macky, later a physician in New South Wales.[1,2]

George made his home in Australia and married Amy Lisette King MacKy at Raymond Terrace in 1908. Their seven children included Minnie, Nellie May, James, Kathleen, Lindsay, Ernest Robert and Amy “Norma” MacKy.[1,3]

He died at Auburn, New South Wales, on 19 February 1940.[1,3]
