The life of Lavinia Mundy Stuart Lopez
Biography
Lavinia Mundy, later associated with the surnames Stuart and Lopez, is probably the daughter of artist Henry Mundy and Lavinia Lord. The family identification brings together compiled genealogy and the Mundy family archive catalogue; Louise also occurs as a name variant.
By the end of her life Lavinia Lopez lived at 13 Russell Crescent, Sandy Bay, a suburb of Hobart in Tasmania, Australia. She died at Hobart General Hospital on August 6, 1924, aged 77. Her death notice names her daughter Edith M. Joyce, then living in Argyle Street, Hobart. Lavinia’s funeral was arranged for Cornelian Bay cemetery in Hobart on August 8.
