The life of Elizabeth Reade Knopp
Biography
Elizabeth Reade, daughter of John Reade and his wife Margaret, married William Knopp at Bures St. Mary, in Suffolk, England, on the River Stour at the Essex county boundary, on September 27, 1584. Five children are recorded in the family, including Elizabeth, baptized in July 1593, who later married Thomas Philbrick.
Elizabeth's life remained associated with Bures across the following decades. By October 1640 she was a widow.
