Biography
Bartlett Wicks drove with the American Ambulance Field Service during World War I. The AFS archive assigns him to Section Sanitaire Unis 67, which left for the front in July 1917 and became Section 624 that September. The University of Utah preserves his wartime photographs and papers.
By 1923, the Salt Lake City directory named him secretary-treasurer of E. B. Wicks Company, a real-estate, loans and fire-insurance firm. Monaco's official directory records his appointment as consul at Salt Lake City on 26 August 1955. An exact wartime military rank has not been established.
