Biography
Stanton Doane Wicks attended Connecticut State Agricultural College and farmed at Pomfret, raising registered Percheron horses and Berkshire hogs. A Windham County history describes his operation as 240 acres.
On 12 June 1919, the Norwich Bulletin reported that he had recently been mustered out of United States service and was leaving the Doane Hall farm for southeastern New Mexico, where he intended to breed horses and raise cattle. His wartime branch, rank and unit remain unidentified.
