The life of Patience Mason
Biography
Patience Mason, daughter of Charles and Keziah Mason, married Jonathan Mason in 1755. Their daughter Patience was born on July 16, 1764. Records disagree over the elder Patience’s birth year: a copied index gives April 6, 1731, while the published family account gives April 6, 1737.
The 1737 birth year is favored by the published family account, but the conflicting 1731 index entry remains unresolved. The genealogy reports her death in 1821; a possibly matching cemetery entry gives 1825. Her death year remains uncertain.
The published family account places her birth in Swansea, Massachusetts.
