Biography

Pierre Jarret was a son of François Jarret de Verchères and Marie Perrot, born around 1679. In his sister Madeleine’s account of the October 1692 attack, he and their brother Alexandre helped defend the family fort at Verchères. He later followed a military career and died in the 1708 expedition against Haverhill, in present-day Massachusetts. G2 ACCOUNT
