The life of Edith Marion Joyce
Biography
Edith M. Joyce was living at 76 Argyle Street, Hobart, the capital of Tasmania, Australia, when her mother, Lavinia Lopez, died in August 1924. Lavinia’s death notice names Edith as her daughter.
She is probably the Edith Marion Joyce whose marriage to Thomas Paul Joyce was described in newspaper court reports in 1927. Those reports date the marriage to April 1903 in Hobart and describe a separation in 1922. They place Edith in South Australia from November 1926.
