Maria Weakly was a servant living at Forda when she married Jacob Prideaux at North Petherwin in 1850. The marriage transcription names her father as William, a labourer. She appears with Jacob and their infant son William on the Gloucester passenger list in 1852. The parish, passenger and land records support her probable identification as the Maria named alongside Jacob in their daughter’s South Australian family entry.
