Kate Ceberano AM

Kate Ceberano first became widely known with I'm Talking in the 1980s. Her solo work has ranged across pop, soul, jazz, rock and musical theatre. The official biography cited in the family research records multiple ARIA wins, platinum records, an Australian Songwriters Association Hall of Fame place and an Order of Australia honour, as well as Top-10 albums across five consecutive decades.

Her work extended into programming and direction at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. A 2023 Festival Centre retrospective identifies her as a former artistic director and a co-artistic director that year; in her own account, she described helping visiting artists navigate the venue and present their work.
