The life of John Mawle of Stoke Nayland
Biography
John Mawle was a clothier with property around Nayland in Suffolk, eastern England, and across the River Stour in the neighboring county of Essex. He made his will on September 5, 1579; it was proved on January 26, 1579/80. His wife Margaret survived him and later made a will of her own.
The Threlfall-derived reconstruction identifies him as the father of Margaret Mawle Barker and estimates his birth around 1512.
