Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Fylbrigg raised their family at Bures St. Mary in Suffolk, England, on the River Stour at the Essex county boundary. Parish records place the children's baptisms across more than twenty years, from the 1570s into the late 1590s. Their son Thomas was baptized in 1584.
The burial register names Elizabeth as the wife of Thomas Fylbrigg the elder and records her burial on April 24, 1619. Her son Thomas had married Elizabeth Knopp four years earlier and was already establishing his own household in the same parish. Elizabeth's recorded life thus belongs to the English generations of the family, before the younger household's migration to New England. Her maiden surname is unknown.
