The life of Mary Woolson Mirick
Weston and Templeton
Mary Woolson married James Mirick on October 20, 1725. Their first child, Susanna, was born the following August. Six more children followed: Caleb, Mary, James, Elisha, Isaac and Josiah. The published Mirick account places the family in Weston, west of Boston in Massachusetts.
Mary’s later years brought several family deaths. Susanna died in 1772 and James, Mary’s husband of nearly forty-nine years, died on August 26, 1774. Princeton’s published vital records place their son James’s death in the army at Boston on December 8, 1778. The Mirick genealogy attributes his death to an illness contracted during service. Mary survived all three.
Her own death is recorded in that account at Templeton, in north-central Massachusetts, on September 13, 1780.
