The life of Opal Nourie
Biography
Opal Nourie's name appears among Alfred Nourie and Delilah Bourassa's children in the family record and the 1917 directory. The later pedigree connects her with Gerald Regnier and names a daughter, Bonnie Jean.
A photographed marker in St. Mary's Cemetery, Beaverville, in Iroquois County in northeastern Illinois, carries the names Opal A. Regnier and Gerald E. Regnier. It records her years as 1911–1974 and his as 1914–1982. The shared stone, the matching birth year, and the pedigree's husband name together support the identification of Opal Nourie with Opal Regnier.
The 1986 Hownikan family account also names Opal Nourie among Alfred Nourie and Delilah Bourassa’s children.
A family chronology gives Opal’s birthday as January 31, 1911; the gravestone gives the year 1911.
