The life of Elmer Nourie
Biography
Elmer Nourie belonged to Alfred Nourie and Delilah Bourassa's large family. He is named in their 1917 directory entry, and his chronology places his birth in 1901.
His later family is traced in Paul Lareau's reconstruction through Loretta Bard and children Helen Marie, Elmer and Elaine. A shared gravestone in St. Mary's Cemetery in Beaverville, in Iroquois County in northeastern Illinois, records Elmer C. Nourie, 1901–1956, beside Loretta C., 1901–1953. The photographed inscription makes the couple's sequence of deaths visible: Loretta’s recorded death year precedes Elmer’s by three years.
The 1986 Hownikan family account also names Elmer Nourie among Alfred Nourie and Delilah Bourassa’s children.
