The life of Michelle Pelle / Pesle
Biography
Michelle Pesle and Jacques Paradis raised their family at Mortagne-au-Perche, in the Perche countryside of northern France. Their children's baptisms place the household in the parish of Notre-Dame through the opening years of the seventeenth century. The family study identifies three older boys—Jacques, Guillaume, and Pierre—followed by Jeanne and Florent.
Jacques was a master cutler, and Pierre later practiced that craft as well. Pierre's marriage joined the Paradis and Guyon families in 1632. The origin dossier distinguishes the February wedding month from the contract made on February 11.
Michelle's name appears as Pesle and Pellé in these accounts. Her birth and death dates are unknown.
