Their story
After Pierre Gasnier died in 1656, Marguerite Rosée took Pierre, Nicolas and Marguerite by canoe to Montréal. Louis remained with his uncle. The La Prairie historical society's account records both the journey and these separate arrangements for the children. Marguerite later married Guillaume Étienne.
