Their story
Pierre Gagné, also recorded as Ganier, served as a militia volunteer and captain. The La Prairie historical society distinguishes him from his father, Pierre Gasnier, and records his terms as parish churchwarden in 1687, 1694 and 1700. In 1723, he provided a capital fund of 500 livres for oil used in the sanctuary lamp.
