Their story
On 30 April 1653, Julien Daubigeon contracted at Nantes to work as a land-clearer and farm laborer. He migrated with Perrine Meunier while their eldest daughter Jeanne remained in France. La Prairie historian Marie Gagné records his death in 1655 during colonial conflict.
