Their story
William Mullins was born about 1572, probably at Dorking, Surrey, England. He sailed on the Mayflower in 1620 with his wife Alice, their children Joseph and Priscilla Mullins Alden, and their servant Robert Carter.[1,3]
His will included a stock of boots and shoes, goods he had carried to the new colony. It also directed money to family members in England and provided for his wife and children travelling with him.[4]
Mullins died at Plymouth on 21 February 1620/21. Alice, Joseph and Carter died during the colony’s first year. Priscilla survived and later married John Alden.[3]
