Biography

Priscilla Mullins Alden crossed the Atlantic on the Mayflower in 1620 with her parents, William Mullins and Alice, her brother Joseph, and the family’s servant Robert Carter. Her father died at Plymouth on 21 February 1620/21. Her mother, brother and Carter also died during the colony’s first year; Priscilla survived.[3]

She married John Alden, a cooper who had come with the ship and stayed in Plymouth. They probably married by 1623 and appear as a married couple in 1627. Their ten children were Elizabeth, John, Joseph, Sarah, Jonathan, Ruth, Rebecca, Mary, Priscilla and David Alden. The family later made its home at Duxbury, Massachusetts.[1,4]

The passenger profile places Priscilla’s death between 1650 and 1687, probably at Plymouth or Duxbury.[5]
