Their story
In 1820, Comfort Tiffany built a cotton mill on the west bank of the Quinebaug River at Brooklyn, Connecticut. The Connecticut Mills record identifies the undertaking as the beginning of cotton manufacture there. The Morse Museum chronology places the Brooklyn Manufacturing Company after his sale of an interest at Danielson.
