Their story
Rev. Richard Dill served the Presbyterian congregation at Knowhead in County Donegal, Ireland, for more than half a century, according to a later family obituary. He was born around 1770, a son of John Dill and Susan McClure in the compiled pedigree.[1,2,3]
The pedigree dates his marriage to Grace Cochrane to 3 August 1801. Their children included Susannah Dill, Dr. John Dill, Rev. Richard Dill (Usher’s Quay), a Dublin minister, and Rev. Dr. Edward Marcus Dill.[1,2,3]
A notice in the Londonderry Sentinel reports that he died on 14 November 1850 at the Derry home of his son-in-law, Dr. Thompson, in his eighty-first year.[2]
