Biography
Mnetoqua, also recorded as Marguerite or Margaret, remained near her ancestors' graves and tended them. Forest Park's historical society identifies her as a Potawatomi woman and Leon Bourassa's wife. A cemetery marker erected in 1941 preserves the account of her decision to stay near the burial places.
