The life of Abraham T. Hequet
Biography
Abraham Thomas Hequet was born on February 12, 1924. The family record identifies him as a son of Jules and Leontine. A FamilySearch reconstruction places his birth in Auburn, Illinois, and his childhood household in Dallas, in northern Texas, by 1930; these details offer a path through the family's movements from Illinois to Texas.
His later family included his wife Betty Jean and their son Thomas Daniel, known as Tommy. Betty's obituary also names daughters Naomi, Mary, and Deborah. Abraham died on June 25, 1979. His memorial places him in the Garden of Ascension at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, in the Los Angeles area of southern California, where Tommy was later buried in the same named section.
The family account names their son as Thomas Daniel “Tommy” Hequet, born May 29, 1961 and deceased June 20, 2003. Betty’s obituary names her daughters as Naomi Beight, Mary Hequet and Deborah Miolen; Abraham’s biological parentage of the daughters is uncertain.
