Leontine Vertefoix Hequet

Leontine Vertefoix was born in France and came to the United States with children during the family’s migration around 1913. She and Jules Hequet raised eight children.

Jules died in 1934; Leontine died the following year, leaving younger children at home. Family accounts describe older siblings taking on responsibility afterward. Some later family-biography material associates her final years with San Diego.
