The life of Robert Hequet
Biography
Robert Hequet was born in France on April 15, 1913, a son of Jules J. Hequet and Leontine Vertefoix. His memorial identifies the birthplace more specifically as Billy-Montigny in Pas-de-Calais, in northern France. A family account places him among the children who came to the United States with their mother, but the ship and exact crossing date have not been established.
His later life is associated with Lakeside in San Diego County, in southern California in the United States. The memorial records his death on February 21, 1982 and his resting place in Greenwood Memorial Park's Bible Mausoleum, in the Sanctuary of Job. It also links a possible spouse named Doloris L. Hequet; that relationship conflicts with the inherited sibling identification and remains unresolved.
The earlier family account places his migration with his mother and brother René around 1913.
