01BIOGRAPHY

Life in context.

25. Frederick Stanton Wicks (1851–1931)
Frederick graduated from Yale in 1873 and earned a law degree from Columbia in 1876. He practiced law in Syracuse for more than five decades and served as a director of Mechanics Bank. Yale records also place him on Othniel C. Marsh’s western expedition in 1873, an unusual scientific adventure for a future lawyer. His canonical dates are 25 April 1851–26 April 1931.
Evidence status. Direct relationship strongly documented.
