01BIOGRAPHY

Life in context.

30. Bartlett Wicks (1895–1981)
University of Utah archival material preserves Bartlett’s World War I photographs and papers and identifies him with the American Ambulance Field Service in France. The family genealogy later records him as president of E. B. Wicks Co. in Salt Lake City and as consul to Monaco in 1956. His exact wartime military rank is not assigned here because the Field Service status and later U.S. military integration require record-level distinction.
Evidence status. Collateral relative; wartime service well supported, rank not yet fixed.
Original Stephen Chamberlain Wicks family genealogical wheel supplied by Harriet Powell. Used here as a genuine family-history artifact, not as a portrait.
