The life of Jotham Hixon

Biography

Jotham Hixon was a blacksmith living in Cumberland in 1860. He and Louisa Pickering had recorded their intention to marry in Holliston on January 28, 1843; their wedding was recorded on March 25. Edmund appeared in their household in 1860, and his death record later named Jotham and Louisa as his parents.

His birth is estimated at about 1815 from conflicting census, cemetery and compiled dates. A cemetery transcription probably records his death in 1888, but an original death record has not established that year.
