The life of Noël Joseph Hequet
Biography
Noël Joseph Hequet was born at Biache-Saint-Vaast, in what is now Pas-de-Calais in northern France, in 1779 to Eugène Hequet and Jeanne Hélène Briez. His father kept a tavern; Noël's own recorded occupation was shoemaker.
On May 29, 1805 he married Marie Rose Angélique Asset. Their children included Charles François Joseph, born in 1805, Antoine François in 1814 and Joséphine Joseph in 1820.
Marie Rose died in 1841. Noël lived another decade, dying at Biache on May 12, 1851. The record identifies a long adult life in the village and a specific trade.
