Their story
Rebecca Duncan married Robert Mitchell on 18 July 1836, according to a contemporary wedding announcement preserved in transcription. She died at Moville on 25 December 1880, aged 76. The marriage, household and Limefield connections support her accepted probable placement as Mary Mitchell’s mother, although no recovered record explicitly names Mary as her daughter.
