Biography
Catherine Pigné was the wife of Jacques Hecquet, the ropemaker and merchant of Abbeville, on the Somme River in northern France, and mother of Philippe Hecquet. Her name is preserved in the account of Philippe’s origins; the compiled family genealogy places her marriage in Abbeville in 1654.
The family chronology gives her death year as 1671.
