The life of David Currier

Text size

Biography

David Currier was born at Amesbury, in northeastern Massachusetts near the New Hampshire border, on February 17, 1696, a son of Richard Currier and Dorothy Barnard. He married Keziah Colby on December 11, 1718. Their children included Dorothy, Richard, David, John, Miriam, and Mary.

The children's recorded births extend from the early 1720s through 1737. David died in 1737, leaving Keziah with a family that included young children. She later remarried, to Jacob Bagley.

David's own life was spent within the closely connected Currier and Colby families of Amesbury; his daughter's marriage would join his household to another branch of the Barnards.
