The life of Ann Collins
Biography
Ann Collins was born at Guilford, on Connecticut’s southern coast, on May 9, 1692, a daughter of John and Ann Collins. She married Daniel Bartlett junior on March 31, 1720. Their children included Ann, who later married Thomas Rogers, and John, who became a deacon.
A North Guilford memorial also preserves the loss of their daughter Avis in February 1736/37. Ann's own death was entered in the town records on October 11, 1745, identifying her as the wife of Daniel junior. She was fifty-three.
Her life remained rooted in Guilford, where the Collins and Bartlett households were joined by her marriage and where the town continued to record the next generation.
