Biography
Jabez Dow participated in Hampton’s management of land claims and taxation. In 1720 he was chosen to hear complaints about lost North Division shares. In 1732 he and Samuel Palmer certified a property assessment that included enslaved people, placing his administrative work within the town’s colonial economy.
