Mary Barker Stearns retained a financial claim in England after settling in Massachusetts. In1640 she and Isaac appointed an agent to recover £5 owed under a bond made in connection with her mother Margaret’s remarriage. The surviving account records the attempt, but does not establish whether payment followed.
