Biography
Ephraim Russell of Stow belongs to the generation whose military service helped sustain the American Revolution. The town history names him in a Stow contingent that marched in September1777, and a Massachusetts veteran grave register lists an Ephraim Russell at Stow. These accounts provide a reasonably matched first-pass record of his service; exact campaigns remain to be developed.
