The life of Perrine Peineau / Poyneau
Biography
Perrine’s surname appears as Payneau in the French research dossier for her son Nicolas Boyer. With Estienne Bouhier, she had children recorded at Le Poiré-sur-Velluire, in the present-day Vendée department of western France.
An especially useful detail concerns Perrine herself: the researcher reports that she was still living when Nicolas contracted his marriage in Canada in July 1667, although his father was dead. This separates the parents’ circumstances at a dated moment.
