The life of Rene Freslon
Biography
On January 28, 1635, two daughters of René Freslon and Renée Loger were baptized at La Trinité in Angers, in the Loire Valley of western France. The origin dossier identifies Jacqueline and Renée as twins, and the reproduced register preserves separate entries for them on the same date.
Jacqueline later went to New France. There she married François Garnier, bringing the Angers family into connection with the Garnier household from the Perche. Their marriage is recorded in the origin dossiers in January 1663.
The two baptisms give René a specific place within the French record: a father of twin daughters in the parish of La Trinité.
