Biography
The act drawn up at the Mississippi's mouth on 9 April 1682 lists a witness named Jean Dulignon among those accompanying La Salle. Family research tentatively identifies him with the Montréal merchant who married Marie Testard in 1684. The expedition claimed the country for France; the witness list records participation in that colonial act, while the match between the two records remains qualified.
