The life of Betty Jean Hequet
Biography
Betty Jean Hequet's life connected Los Angeles, in southern California, with eastern Tennessee in the southeastern United States. At her death on January 11, 2023, she was living in Greeneville, in eastern Tennessee; her newspaper obituary also records earlier homes in Knoxville and Los Angeles. Her memorial gives her birth as December 30, 1937.
She had outlived her husband, Abraham, and their son Tommy. Her daughters Naomi Beight, Mary Hequet, and Deborah Miolen survived her. Seven siblings were also living when the obituary was published. Family and friends were invited to Stubblefield Funeral Home, followed by graveside services at Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown, also in eastern Tennessee.
Her obituary also names her mother, Allie Mae, and three siblings among those who had died before her.
