The life of Jeanne Hélène Briez
Biography
Jeanne Hélène Briez is described in Eric Bernard's genealogy as a flax spinner. The entry names her parents as Jean Philippe Joseph Briez and Marie Anne Barbe Mathon and places her birth at Biache-Saint-Vaast, in what is now the Pas-de-Calais department of northern France, in 1751.
She married Eugène Hequet in 1778. The reconstruction lists their children Noël, Charles Guislain, Marie Guislaine, and Pélagie, and records Jeanne's death in the same town in 1809.
