Philip Barker is reported in a source-cited family compilation as born around 1814 at Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire, and baptised on 1 May 1814. He married Mary Ann Bartlett there on 23 June 1839. Census summaries describe him as an agricultural labourer, aged 27 in 1841 and 57 in 1871. The compilation identifies a daughter Elizabeth born in 1860, a plausible match for Eliza Elizabeth Barker in the King family. That identification remains working; the earlier candidate parents John Barker and Ann Mizen have not been attached.
