51. Leontine Vertefoix Hequet (1889–1935)
Leontine was born in France and came to the United States with children during the family’s migration period around 1913. She and Jules raised eight children whose descendants spread across several states. She died in 1935, only a year after Jules, leaving younger children still at home; the family’s survival depended heavily on older siblings afterward. Some modern family-biography material associates her final years with San Diego.
Evidence status. Direct relationship strong; exact immigration ship remains unresolved.
