19. Ebenezer Tiffany (1753–1826)
Rhode Island historical material places Ebenezer in several militia call-ups during the Revolution, including guard duty at Barrington and service on Rhode Island. He later represented Barrington in the Rhode Island General Assembly and served for many years as president of the United Congregational Society. Family tradition remembered a “Captain” Tiffany, but the rank has not been proved for this Ebenezer and is not used here.
Evidence status. Direct relationship strongly supported after correcting Lemira’s parentage.
