01BIOGRAPHY
Life in context.
41. Delilah Bourassa Nourie (1868–1942)
Lorraine Nourie Lewis’s 1986 Hownikan family account says Delilah was born at Maple Hill, Kansas, moved to Beaverville, Illinois as a small child, married Alfred Nourie in 1888, and raised eleven children. The family-supplied CPN roll image places Delilah directly above Eugene Chester Nourie. Her story matters not because she held public office but because her descendants consciously preserved her identity, photograph and family history across generations.
Evidence status. High confidence: CPN roll plus family-published tribal account.
Citizen Potawatomi Nation roll-line image supplied by the family. This is an official-record image, not a portrait.
